Quiet Landscape
Turning to nature not just as an escape but as a space for creative expression and healing, I aimed to capture those quiet moments that often go unnoticed yet possess a unique beauty and significance.
"In the Silence of the City" is a series that emerged from the emptiness of the streets during the pandemic, a period that significantly altered our lives and urban landscapes. By using the empty streets as my canvas, I explored the city as if it were my first visit.
As everyone stayed indoors, I stepped outside and discovered beauty in the silence. This unique moment offered a rare opportunity to document the city's altered lifestyle and to view it from an unexplored angle. I experimented with different exposures, angles, and times of day, always imagining the sudden appearance of a subject and preparing for its entrance into the frame. My photographs capture snapshots of this unprecedented time, whether of a lone tree or a road marking.
My passion for revealing the hidden beauty and complexity of urban spaces found new expression on these empty streets. Each photograph tells a story through the city's silence. This series has been a deeply fulfilling journey, enabling me to connect deeply with my surroundings and find meaning and inspiration in the most unexpected places.
